scholarships

The children of Valor honorees will receive a one-time scholarship grant of $1,000 to assist with the costs associated with their post-secondary education.  Students attending an accredited post-secondary school, including community college, technical colleges or universities, are eligible for the award.

The Valor Public Safety scholarships are funded through four primary sources:  the Valor Awards Golf Tournament, the Valor Public Safety Awards ceremony, the generosity of corporate sponsors and public contributions.  The Valor Scholarship Fund is a 501 (c) 3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.

These scholarships are a visible and personal way to say thank you, not just to our Medal of Valor honorees, but to the families who sacrifice so much every day to support the men and women who serve and protect our community.

Four scholarships were presented in 2011, the inaugural year of the program.
